Company Background

• Ja-Ru is a U.S.based toy company with offices and showrooms in Jacksonville, Florida, and Tsim Sha Tsui East Hong Kong. We are the leading supplier of impulse toys worldwide.

We are looking for talented and motivated individual who are ready to join our team to explore the possibility to develop and grow.

Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage Product Team on daily operations including reorder procurement and new sourcing projects

• Communicate daily with U.S. product development team and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered as per schedule

• Source, evaluate, and identify best suppliers in consideration of the balance between quality, price and suppliers’ abilities

• Manage the entire procurement process, including supplier selection, cost negotiation, contracts & shipment handling, samples & artwork approval, licensed agreement review

• Manage the showroom to ensure they are updated with the latest toys assortments by the appropriate season

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including testing, graphic design, shipping and accounting to ensure on-time shipment goals are achieved

• Stay tuned on market trends, regulatory requirements to identify opportunities for cost savings and drive process improvements

• South East Asia sourcing experience is a plus

Skills and Abilities required:

• 8-10 years of experience in Toys’ similar industry preferred.

• Knowledge of U.S. Retail and familiar with sourcing landscape in China and Southest Asia

• Mature, Open-minded, Attention to Detail, Self-motivated, Team player

• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify potential issues & provide solutions are essential

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and U.S. customers

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Chinese typing skill is a must

• Less qualified candidates may also be considered for the role of Assistant Manager

Languages & Mobility:

• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Travel with U.S. Product Development team for product sourcing trips in China & Southeast Asia
