Major Duties:
(a)
To perform teaching duties, including student assessment and operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning;
(b)
To provide support in programme operations;
(c)
To prepare and update teaching and assessment materials;
(d)
To assist in programme development and review of programme curriculum;
(e)
To assist in coordinating / organising special events and competitions;
(f)
To perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement and other student activities;
(g)
To implement quality assurance policies; and
(h)
To maintain and enhance networks with the industry and related associations.
Requirements:
(a)
A recognised higher diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
(b)
At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry;
(c)
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
(d)
Good knowledge of basic computer applications;
(e)
The ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(f)
The ability to pass a trade test.

(1)
Candidates without the required academic qualifications stated in the Requirements (a) above but possessing
8 years’ relevant work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
